Talangaha Overview

The cultivation of tea, rubber and oil palm commenced in the years 1915, 1912, and 1994 respectively. The list of British planters at the initial times is namely Mr. G. Herman-1942, Mr.I.Nicol-1959 and Mr. G.H.Martin 1958.Located 21 km from the Southern Highway, the estate is engaged in many social and eco- friendly initiatives such as water conservation, initiatives to conserve the bio-diversity and also many activities to improve the community’s health and wellbeing and also the education of the children. Ponds are maintained by the community within the estate which is home to many ornamental fish species.
